On 3rd June 2026 ZCCM Investments Holdings Plc launched a support programme to four charity organisations: Livingstone Day Cheshire Homes (deals with differently abled children in Livingstone), Moses Charity (deals with orphans in Magoye), Steps for Good Works Foundation (deals with the old-aged persons in Kabwe) and Ndola Vocational Training Centre (deals with vulnerable groups in society).  

The launch took place at Cheshire Homes in Livingstone where we donated wheelchairs, school uniforms, shoes, clothing, educational materials, building supplies, broiler chicks, and other essential items.  

Our Board Chairperson, Mr. Phesto Musonda, was clear about the intent behind the gesture: This is not a charity handout. It is a strategic investment in people and institutions that are doing the hard work of building resilient communities with limited resources, but with unlimited commitment. We are here as partners, not donors. Sister Clare Cecilia Banda, Head of Livingstone Day Cheshire Homes, expressed what the donation meant to those in her care: This is more than material support. It is a message of hope, dignity, encouragement, and love for children living with disabilities. It brings renewed strength to our caregivers and comfort to every child in this home. 

The structured Community Support Programme provides support to the four organisations serving over 600 direct beneficiaries.  

These initiatives form part of the Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme aimed at uplifting vulnerable members of society through strategic partnerships and community-driven interventions.
